Realize Records and Premier Centre for the Arts are pleased to announce the second year of the innovative new school, Realize Record Label Institute. The 2009-2010 program launches on August 31st 2009.

The program is geared towards students who want to work professionally in the music business, musicians who want to learn how to handle their own affairs and students who wish to open their own label without having to spend hundred of thousands of dollars. The school has expanded to add an additional location in Salisbury , MD while keeping their original location inside of the Premier Centre for the Arts located in Middletown , DE . Both locations will run simultaneously.

Classes begin August 31st (Monday nights) from 7-9PM Space is limited

Students must commit to full year. Discounts available if year is paid in full

As a student of the program you will become part of the staff at an active indie label and be involved in and learn what it takes to become an A&R executive or a scout. Experience signing artists though the choosing of songs in pre-production, to production coordinating for the studio. See and be a part of real decision making at the label and how it influences the product. Follow the product through graphic design, marketing and production. Work on marketing and promotion of product through online outlets, print, and radio promotions. Work with development of street teams, work one on one with signed artists on their cd release parties, bookings and touring. You will work side by side with music industry professionals and signed artists. You will also be heavily involved in the behind the scenes aspects of the Unicity Performing Arts Festival and have the opportunity to be onsite for the festival.

If you want to work within the music business, own your own record label, learn how to take control of your music career or just familiarize yourself with the industry but don’t want to spend four year and hundreds of thousands of dollars, this is the program for you.
